WILDLIFE The hills around us provide an urban wildlife habitat for a variety of animal species. It is not un-common to view deer, squirrel, possum, raccoon, owl, red tail hawk, coyote, bobcat, mountain lion and snakes. Although exciting, it is also very important to respect that these animals are wild and somewhat unpredictable if startled or threatened. It is very important that children and adults alike understand that hazards may exist and how to safely co-exist so that the thrill and enjoyment these animals bring may be enriching. |
